WRAC Association presentation of berets and cap badges

Sunday 10th August, 11:30 for 12:00 start

The National Memorial Arboretum

We are proud to announce our latest date for restoring berets and cap badges to those dismissed from the Army under the pre-2000 ‘gay ban’. We will gather at the WRAC Association plot at the NMA to officially apologise and welcome our veterans back into the WRAC. We have 20 ladies receiving their berets and cap badges.

We are honoured to be joined by senior representation from the Army who will give a formal apology to those affected, and present them with their berets and cap badges in front of a welcoming crowd of WRAC veterans. Those of you who have been at our previous presentations in Perth, Guildford and Cardiff know what a wonderful, emotional and heart-warming occasion they are.

The presentation will be followed by a celebratory dinner for recipients and their guests. If you would like to join this meal please see details below.

It would be lovely to see any WRAC Association members wishing to join us on the day to support and welcome these ladies. So that we can ensure there is enough seating for all attendees if you would like to join us please let us know by registering for free HERE.

If you would like to join us after the presentation for a celebratory meal with the beret recipients, places at the two-course dinner are available for £22. Please call 0300 400 1992 Mon-Thurs 0900-1630 to reserve and pay for your place.

Alternatively you are very welcome to make your own food arrangements and can bring a picnic to enjoy after the presentation, or visit the cafeteria.
